Lama Dawa Norbu
Truelku Tshulthrim Gocha was born in 1991 at Kheng Silembi under Mongar Dzongkhag to father Jigme Dorji and mother Tendrel Zangmo. He is the true incarnation of lama Dawa Norbu who was the heart devotee of late His Holiness Dungse Thinley Norbu. At the age of two, surprisingly, he could recognize all of his former master’s disciples. He then at the age of three, under the guidance of his root Guru Dungsay Garab Rinpoche, started his monastic education at Rangjung Woesel Choeling Monastery in Tashigang. Later, he also studied at Varanasi for some time.
He received all the precious teachings like three preliminary and Throema initiation of Dudjom Terser from his root master. After which he assumed the post of Dorji Lopen. In line with this, he also received initiation of on preliminaries practices from Dudjom Yangsi Sangay Pema Zhepa, Nyinthig Yazhi from Drubwang Pema Norbu Rinpoche, Kunzang Lamai Zhel-lung from Dzongsar Jamyang Khentse Rinpoche, Nyingthig Yazhi and Tertoen Nyidrag from Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Kamai-wanglung from Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche.

As a result of the blessings of Lama, for the benefit of Buddha Dharma, Nyingma Buddhist tradition, and in particular Dudjom Tersar, as well as to fulfill the vision of his root master, Truelku Tshultrim Gocha established the Jangchub Gawai Tshel Monastery in upper Tang, Tandingang in 2012.
In the year 2019, new monastery named Gyurme Nyedon Wangpo was established in Chumey under Bumthang Dzongkhag. Even at such a young age, with the intention to benefit all the sentient beings, and for the benefit of Buddha Dharma and Nyingmapa Buddhist tradition, Truelku is making tireless efforts in exploring opportunities to provide wholesome education to youths. It is also aimed to preserve and propagate the Buddhist teachings with the objective to fulfill the vision of his root master and all sentient beings.
